Restricted Airspace (Temporary) – RA(T)s and RIAT

Please ensure that you comply with RA(T)s, as published in AICs on the AIP website and via NOTAMs.

We have been given an early indication that a significant RA(T) will be used on the 19th and 20th July for the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford.   The full details have yet to be published, but there is likely to be an area of airspace to the north west of RAF Fairford  that will restrict all flying transiting east / west during a short window around lunchtime.  Depending on the weather conditions on the day this could restrict soaring options for cross country flying and the possibility of infringement is high if not publicised widely.

Further details will be provided when they are published.
