Airspace Restrictions at Silverstone 12-14 July including an RA(T) for a Red Arrows display on Sunday 14th July 2019

There are airspace restrictions in place around the Silverstone area to protect helicopter operations on the 12th & 13th July. The details are available here.

On Sunday 14 July 2019, the British Grand Prix will be held at Silverstone and in support of this the Red Arrows will conduct a display before the race commences.

A recently published Airspace Coordination Notice describes that under powers of Article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016, the CAA will establish a Restricted Area (Temporary) (RA(T)) for the display by the Red Arrows. Between 12:25 and 13:05 UTC on Sunday 14 July 2019 no aircraft is to fly below 8,500ft AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 6 nautical miles (11.2 kms) whose centre is at 520418N 0010022W.

No other aircraft are to penetrate the RA(T) for the Red Arrows. The airspace must remain sterile throughout their display.

As always, NOTAMs should be checked for any late changes.

Pilots are reminded that UTC differs from local time. More details are available here.
