LAPL medical – an insiders guide

Dr Tracy Ashton, a GP and BGA medical advisor, has provided a useful info sheet for those contemplating the LAPL medical, which currently supports the LAPL(S) and from 8 Apr 20 will support the SPL.

You can view the ‘LAPL medical – an insiders guide’ here.

Please note that in producing this information, Tracy highlights that while the current pandemic is underway, GP’s cannot take on non-essential work. The good news is that EASA sailplane pilots are not required to hold an SPL and associated medical certificate in the UK until 8 Apr 21. Tracy’s guidance supports planning ahead.
