Dual and instructional flights (in England) from 4th July

The Government has today confirmed that following the Prime Minister’s announcement earlier this week about changes to lock down measures, the reopening of general aviation dual and instructional flights will be permitted from 4 July 2020 in England.  The DfT website will be updated in due course.

The BGA will be publishing updated guidance for clubs ahead of the 4th of July, which will include revised public health guidance including use of PPE and access to club facilities based on changes applicable from the 4th of July.

We expect that dual and instructional flights will become possible in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales as devolved decisions are made regarding public health guidance in those countries.
