CAA airspace policy consultations

The CAA is consulting with aviation bodies through what is called NATMAC on two draft revised airspace policies. One specifies the classification and services to be provided in different categories of airspace and the other defines how controlled airspace structures are to be designed to contain flight paths.

The revised CAA policies are far reaching and unless the drafts are changed are likely to significantly expand controlled airspace. The BGA is working with the GA Alliance to establish a professionally informed response to the CAA consultation which will be submitted by the GA Alliance and its members including the BGA before the response closing date of 18th July 2021.
