Airspace Modernisation

A Government directed Airspace Modernisation Strategy (AMS) aims to redevelop UK airspace over the next twenty years.  This will result in most of the UK’s airports needing to redevelop the controlled airspace they manage.

After a period during which most of the UK’s airports have not progressed their expected airspace change proposals (ACPs), an upturn in activity and Government grants to the airports are resulting in those ACPs moving forward. As a result, numerous ACP’s can be expected over the coming months and years.
