A temporary restricted area, ie an RA(T), is normally established to protect an air display or other event. There are numerous displays and events across the UK every summer, many of which are protected by an RA(T).

Details of RA(T)s and the associated timing and restriction requirements are published in advance in AICs.

Changes can occur after an AIC has been published – as ever, pilots are respectfully reminded that for both safety and legal compliance reasons it is very important to check NOTAM’s before flight.
