The CAA decided on 17 June to approve ACP-2021-048 and the activation of TDA EG D597 for specific Large Force Exercises. The CAP 2362, Final Regulatory Decision was published and uploaded to the Airspace Change Portal on 27 Jun 22. The ACP detail including engagement with Borders GC is detailed here.
Activations of the Future Combat Airspace will occur on:
August 2022: 2 night time activations and 3 day time activations on the following dates: 9 and 11 Aug, 2000-2315 UTC and 18, 23 and 25 Aug, 0800-1115 UTC.
September 2022: 8 daytime activations: 5, 7, 9, 13, 15, 19, 21, 23 Sep between 0900 – 1300UTC.
6th – 24th March 2023: This is expected to be up to 12 activations of up to 4 hours.
August 2023 (dates tbc): This is expected to be up to 8 activations of up to 4 hours over a 3-week period.
September 2023 (dates tbc): This is expected to consist of up to 12 activations of up to 4 hours over a 3-week period.
An Aeronautical Information Publication Supplement (AIP SUP) will be issued for the airspace change on the 28 July 2022.
