BGA Conference 2024

Entry is FREE! No need to book – just turn up on the day.

Early arrivals can benefit from the now traditional BGA conference keepsake – kindly sponsored by Sydney Charles Insurance!

If you would like lunch at the conference, you will need to purchase a lunch ticket (see below). All day tea and coffee is included.

Attendees can also purchase tea and coffee on the day from the coffee stations at the venue.

Visitors who park on site are required to enter their car registration on entry to the venue. Once registered, there will be no charge for parking. Registering cars can be completed  at the Hollywell Park Conference Centre or the Burleigh Court hotel. There is no need to register at both.

What’s on?

As ever, we are hosting many exhibitors who will be only too pleased to chat to you and give you the opportunity to peruse the latest technology, ideas and news. You may be tempted to treat yourself!

There are two forums this year running in parallel from 9am – 10am:

  • Women in gliding forum – facilitated by Yvonne Elliott, BGA Women’s advocate. Yvonne will make a short presentation on progress so far re WInG , ambassadors, the National Women’s go Gliding Weekend and next steps, discussion and actions going forward.
  • Revolution of the glider cockpit – presented by Bernard Dobre, LX Navigation. Bernard will will be discussing how pilots can modernize their glider cockpits with the new NAVIA flight computer. Among presenting many other ground breaking functionalities, he will also present how to improve flight safety and performance using an AI assistant.

…and the evening event?

The Annual Awards Dinner is at Burleigh Court Hotel, Loughborough University. The hotel is a short walk from the conference venue.

You will need a ticket to attend this very popular evening event!  The closing date for ticket bookings is the 13th February.

Pre-dinner drinks at 1900 and seated by 1930. The evening entertainment is kindly supported by Navboys!
