Courses and Seminars
The BGA runs various courses and seminars throughout the year.
Please note that the BGA does not run beginners training courses; if you are interested in learning to fly gliders, then you should make contact with your local club who will be delighted to advise and help. You can find a club using our Club Finder.
Experienced pilots looking for Introductory Flight Pilot courses, or BI courses, or a Full Rating assessment, or MGIR assessment should discuss that with their CFI and contact their Senior Regional Examiner who can help identify the available support. If that is proving difficult, please contact the BGA office.
BGA Assistant Instructor Courses
Instructing is very rewarding – and great fun too! Training to become an instructor definitely improves flying skills and knowledge.
BGA Flight Instructor Coach Seminars
BGA Flight Instructor Coaches support others by providing club based coaching of instructors.
EASA FI and Examiner Refresher Seminars
A refresher seminar forms part of the EASA FCL FI(S) revalidation or renewal requirement.
Airworthiness Courses and Seminars
The BGA has designed a range of Airworthiness Courses, from Maintainer to ARC Signatory.
Club Safety Officer Seminars
The BGA Safety Committee is running one day seminars to draw upon club and BGA experience to enhance the Club Safety Officer contribution to safety in club flying operations.
