The BGA is excited about our Promoting Gliding project, an initiative aimed at increasing awareness of gliding! Our goal is to attract more visitors to club websites and local airfields, ultimately welcoming new members into our clubs. How we can help you
We understand that attracting new members is crucial for clubs, and we are committed to assisting clubs with enhancing their online presence. Our work includes:
– Website and social media support: We aim to help clubs optimize their websites and harness the power of social media to better engage potential new members.
– Tracking trends: We are seeking volunteer clubs interested in tracking web visit trends to measure the project’s impact. If your club is happy to get involved, please let us know here.
– Workshops and surgeries: We are offering a series of free in-person workshops focused on marketing and branding, as well as online sessions for clubs looking to create more appealing websites and maximize their social media effectiveness. How you can help us!
To effectively promote gliding, we require high-quality footage and captivating images of our sport—especially showcasing the joy of gliding and happy participants. This content will be utilized for:
– BGA social media channels: Enhancing our online presence and reach through engaging posts and paid advertising.
– BGA website updates: Refreshing our website to feature the latest and most appealing visuals of gliding.
– Resource for clubs: Creating a central repository of content that clubs can draw from for marketing inspiration and practical use. We recognize the challenges club volunteers face, including time constraints and creative blocks. The more gliding content we share, the greater the chance we have of attracting potential new members.
We’re currently uploading footage, including highlights from Glide Britain and the Women’s Worlds 2022, but we want more diverse content. We invite all BGA clubs to share their images and videos with us!
