Ted Lys Awards for 2026
As an experienced glider pilot, do you need some support to develop and reach your gliding goals and dreams? If so, the Ted Lys Award is there to help and, uniquely, is there to support both individual pilots and groups with a shared objective.
The award is financial support, typically up to to 50% of the cost of the proposed gliding activity, to a nominal maximum of £1000, with award made at the BGA Conference in February.
Launchpoint are open to all* applications, imaginative and unusual are equally welcomed, to support all kinds of advanced training in gliding. If you, or your group of like-minded experienced pilots have an idea, then make a bid now:
