At the recent Aerobility Aviator’s Ball, glider pilot Clare Johnston received the British Gliding Association Mike Miller Smith Wings of Endeavour award.

Clare, based at the Scottish Gliding Centre, has continued to developed her gliding talents and experience including qualifying for an SPL.

The award was initially presented by the BGA earlier in 2025, and in the image below, Clare can be seen re-receiving her award from RAF Red Arrows ‘Red One’, Jon Bond, and from John McFall, the European Space Agency’s first Disabled Astronaut with the rest of the Red arrows pilots lined up behind.
