1956 World Championship celebration at Saint-Yan
From June 29 to July 13, 1956, the 6th World Gliding Championships took place in Saint-Yan, where the renowned Paul McCready won first place flying a Breguet 901.
The 2026 anniversary of the competition will be celebrated at Saint-Yan airfield in France over the 4th and 5th of July 2026 with related activities including flying, food, and socialising.
