Andy Gough Memorial Trophy awarded to CFI Ian Gallacher
Congratulations to CFI Ian Gallacher who was recognised by the RAF Gliding and Soaring Association (RAFGSA) at their AGM in March with the award of the Andy Gough Memorial Trophy. Awarded annually to the RAFGSA Member of the Year, this trophy was subscribed by the gliding movement in memory of Warrant Officer A W Gough BEM who founded and for twenty years ran the RAFGSA Centre at Bicester. He was killed when giving an aerobatic display in a Blanik at RAF Brize Norton on 12 June 1982.
