The last BGA instructor course of 2025 – and the last under self-regulation – was completed this week at The Gliding Centre.  Thanks as ever to the course coaches and the host club.

Congratulations to all the newly trained instructors in 2025!  Thanks for getting involved – and have fun.

For those interested in becoming an instructor, Basic Instructor (Sailplanes) training is still delivered at clubs. The ‘new’ Flight Instructor (Sailplanes) course, still delivered by clubs and/or on BGA-facilitated courses looks a lot like the previous course. 2026 BGA FI(S) course dates will appear this winter. Club delivered BI(S) and FI(S) training will obviously be notified locally.
