Supporting gliding as a volunteer

Gliding has always relied on volunteers. Volunteers supply amazing expertise, enthusiasm and experience that would otherwise be unavailable. Most of the people helping at a national level to ensure that our aircraft are affordably airworthy, that our clubs and airfields are protected, and that the shared airspace we fly in remains accessible and safe are volunteers.

Sports research demonstrates that sports volunteers get a boost to their happiness and well-being through their involvement.

BGA volunteering opportunities can absorb as little or as much time as you would like to give whilst enjoying the experience of helping others and perhaps learning something new. The BGA offers flexible, meaningful, and accessible ways for people to contribute.
