Membership is open to all at Buckminster, no previous experience required. We fly seven days a week (weather dependent) from our home at Saltby Airfield, located between Grantham and Melton Mowbray.

Training is provided in our three two-seater gliders with both Winch and Aerotow launches are available. We also have a motor glider available for training or private hire by members and host a micro-light school on site. Our concrete runway means the club can stay open throughout the winter.

Our clubhouse has a kitchen and shower block available for members and visiting pilots and caravans are available for hire.

Discounted membership fees are available for Junior members (aged 25 or under). We are also proud to host the gliding club from Loughborough University.

We can facilitate BGA vouchers and also offer our own range of experience flights as well as one and five day training courses. Details can be found on our website (click here to view).
