Saturday 12 December 2020 was a crisp bright December day and saw an excellent turnout by members to mark our last day of flying as the Wrekin Gliding Club at RAF Cosford.  The club has enjoyed some 54 years flying at Cosford during which time many thousands of servicemen and women based at there have been introduced to the sport of gliding.  For some, gliding would be their only opportunity to experience flying, whilst others went on fly professionally in their chosen careers both at home and abroad. Large numbers of former club members have gone on to fly at other RAFGSA clubs, compete in gliding competitions and participate in overseas expeditions.  We look forward to the next 54 years at RAF Shawbury.
