We are a family friendly volunteer-run club with about 100 members, operating every weekend and Bank Holiday throughout the year.

Based at R.A.F. Weston on the Green, just north of Oxford, we are fortunate to have the use of one of the largest grass airfields in the country. The large airfield provides the opportunity to launch using a powerful winch at costs far lower than that of aerotow. The area provides good soaring conditions and the unrestricted airspace up to 8,500 feet provides good opportunities for cross country flights.

You don’t need to own a glider, the club is well equipped with two-seat training and high-performance gliders and also a number of single-seat aircraft. Training is available from experienced and professional Flight Instructors who provide time free of charge to allow others to learn the joys of flying. We have our own hangar and a modern club house were we enjoy BBQ’s and other social events.

Visitors are always welcome and Trial Lessons can be booked by contacting us in advance.
