RA(T)s

A Temporary Restricted Area – an RA(T) – can be promulgated in three combinations:

  1. NOTAM and Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC) (click on ‘AICs’ and view the Mauve (M) publications)
  2. NOTAM and Briefing Sheet (click on ‘Briefing sheets’)
  3. NOTAM.

The related data is used to inform airspace information on planning and navigation applications, including, for example, SkyDemon (other applications are available). Some applications provide very limited graphical detail. Care is needed with application settings.
