Junior Nationals 2026
Each year, suitably experienced young pilots can enter the Junior National Gliding Championship. The competition is financially supported by the BGA and hosted by a gliding club which provides the facilities and competition organisation expertise.
This year, we’re delighted that the competition is being hosted by Lasham Gliding Society from the 22nd – 30th August. Weather permitting, it will be a great competition! And in any case, great fun!

Developing the next generation…
Competition pilot coaching takes place alongside the championship, which is also supported by the BGA and delivered under the organising club. Expert coaches equipped with several high performance two-seat gliders, some of which are generously loaned to the event, will be helping to develop and inspire the next generation of Junior championship pilots.
