World glider aerobatic championships results
At just 21 years old, Oliver Adamy of Czechia claimed the individual World title in the 27th FAI World Glider Aerobatic Championship, finishing ahead of Michael Spitzer of Germany and defending 2024 World Champion Maciej Pospieszyński of Poland. Czechia also secured the team title, with Germany second and Poland third.
The 15th FAI World Advanced Glider Aerobatic Championship was dominated by Germany. Tobias Ohlig, 50, took the individual title, leading an all-German podium ahead of Nick Charly Weiss and Stefan Zistler. Germany also won the team competition, followed by Romania and Poland.
The UK fielded a relatively new team and all the pilots gained valuable experience for the future.
