Our theme for the day is ‘‘keeping clubs healthy in challenging times’ which in many ways is also about participation, which of course is the perennial topic. How can we make it easier for everyone to enjoy their gliding, so that whether new members or established pilots, they stay as a club member for longer?

2025 has seen progress and change and of course an epic soaring season: SFCL, inspectors and a year of actively promoting gliding to the general public. We have carefully considered how we can best utilise the day and have the discussions that will support you as club leaders.

There will be much to discuss, with plenty of scope for strategic thinking about the future of the sport and contributing your ideas. Gliding has never been a solo sport.

There will be a workshop for Club Technical Officers too, details about that have been circulated separately.
