38th FAI World Gliding Championship gets underway in Texas

The 38th FAI World Gliding Championship in the Open, 20m two-seat and 18m classes gets underway in Uvalde, Texas from the 14th August.

The British Gliding Team is fielding very experienced pilots, including previous European and World medal winners.

This is an international competition debut for the very new Jonkers JS5. How will the relatively older EB29s, Nixus and JS1-21s compare? The 20m two-seat competition in the UK is dominated by the Arcus – how will the ASG32s and Twin Shark perform in the big skies over Texas?
