The Royal Aero Club Trust (RAeC Trust) prime focus includes increasing the availability of bursaries to help young people improve their flying skills.

The RAeC Trust bursary scheme embraces all types of air sports and aviation-related activities, including of course gliding.  

Flying Bursaries and grants are available for those wishing to advance from one level of gliding to the next higher level or to upgrade their existing qualifications. Advanced Bursaries are also available to enable well-qualified air sports pilots to enter international or national competitions or other prestigious events, or to advance their existing qualifications to a higher level to the benefit of the sport (eg to gain an instructor qualification).
