Gliding Scholarships!

The Honourable Company of Air Pilots (known as the ‘HCAP’) is a philanthropic membership organisation which represents and protects the interests and welfare of pilots and navigators and strives to encourage and assist all those (from any background) who wish to become a pilot.

The HCAP gliding scholarships are designed to support the BGA’s Junior Gliding activity, which caters for those aged under 25. The scholarships are residential and are offered to people over the age of 16.  The successful candidates will have the opportunity to fly on a one week residential course at a BGA Junior Gliding Centre which can take a candidate to first solo.  Candidates called for interview will be informed of the available dates and asked to confirm their preference at that time.

The closing date for 2025 applications is the 25th February 2025 at 12 noon
