Volunteers’ Week 3-9th June

Volunteers’ Week provides a great opportunity to get a realistic and cheerful view of gliding in the local press and across local social media. ‘Realistic’ because the messaging is naturally that gliding is so much more than ‘just’ the flying. This is where you can celebrate the incidental (and fulfilling) stories about the people who help make your gliding club the place it is with all the little things they quietly do, whether that’s maintaining the kit, cutting the grass or restocking the tea caddy.

This year there is a fresh approach, a new website with lots of very useful resources, and NCVO are celebrating 40 years of Volunteers’ Week. There are additional volunteer management resources on the ‘Managing Club Volunteers’ section of the BGA website.
